Intensive Care Nurse New

Shift: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekend Rotation

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity, 26-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at a major acute care facility serving Southeast Georgia and Southern South Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment providing advanced critical care services, including support for patients with complex medical and surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, evaluate, plan, and coordinate individualized care for critically ill patients in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and respond to emergency situations including Code Blue activations
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining strict adherence to protocols and safety standards
• Monitor patient responses and progress using clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding ongoing care and treatments
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives
• Ensure the ICU is well-stocked and equipped for efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required)
• Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for compact multi-state RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred at time of hire (required within 6 months)
• Previous ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
